Johnnie L Watlington

Johnnie Watlington is a passionate advocate for Biblical truth, justice, and repentance in a time when the Church has too often chosen silence. A devoted follower of Christ and husband, Johnnie writes with fire, clarity, and an uncompromising commitment to God’s Word. His debut book, Blood on Your Hands: Confronting the Church’s Silence with God’s Truth, challenges believers to awaken from spiritual complacency and speak boldly in the face of evil.

Born poor on a tobacco farm in Yanceyville, North Carolina, Johnnie was raised with five siblings in a home marked by both hardship and resilience. He knew God by looking at the stars in the sky and the trees. After his parents divorced, he moved to Philadelphia with his father and graduated from Dobbins High School in 1972. He attended North Carolina A&T State University before serving in the U.S. military, where he later earned a BBA from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. He also completed an MBA at the University of Phoenix.

Throughout his professional life, Johnnie worked in healthcare and invested in real estate and the financial markets. But his deepest passion has always been studying the Word of God and calling others to live by its truth.

He and his wife, Wanda, now live in Middletown, Delaware, where they invest in their community and disciple others in righteousness, truth, and faithfulness to God’s call. Johnnie is also prayerfully seeking a church that preaches the undiluted, uncompromising Word of God—a fellowship committed to truth, holiness, and Spirit-led conviction.
